"MediaNews Group Names New Vice President of Multimedia Sales"

MediaNews Group has appointed Douglas Cooper to the position of Vice President of Multimedia Sales for the Northeast division of the company. Mr. Cooper served as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at MediaOnePA in York, Pennsylvania since December 2008 where he spearheaded the launch of the MediaOnePA brand which encompasses the York Daily Record, The York Dispatch, York Sunday News, The Evening Sun of Hanover, PA, The Lebanon Daily News and The Public Opinion of Chambersburg, PA. Mr. Cooper will oversee the multimedia operations for all newspaper properties in Pennsylvania, New England, and Saint Paul, MN.

Mr. Cooper has over 16 years experience in the newspaper industry. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the Purdue University. Mr. Cooper was a Publisher of The Evening Sun located in Hanover, PA prior to serving as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MediaOnePA.
